My background quite varied! My degree is in Tourism Studies and I worked both overseas and in the UK for major tour operators for a decade before I got married and had my sons. These experiences provided me with the opportunity to meet people from lots of different cultures and backgrounds and honed my communication skills as well as demonstrating my confidence and adaptability to new challenges. Complementary Therapies were always a hobby but became my new career once I’d had my children. I was employed by St Luke’s Hospice, Winsford, for over 10 years as a therapist in their Day Care Centre. It was a real privilege to work with people at such difficult times in their lives. The experiences and training I received there have enhanced my ability to listen, empathize and understand our human condition! Therefore, I am passionate about the health and well being of staff, pupils, parents, carers and Governors of Dee Banks School. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone deserves the chance to feel the benefit of a safe, calm and nurturing environment in which to thrive, learn and achieve their potential.
