Berry Class Explores Edible Art with Yogurt Paint! 🎨🥦🍠
This week, Berry Class dived into a wonderfully messy and colorful art activity! Our little artists explored mark making and printing using edible paints made from natural yogurt. To make the colours pop, we added a splash of food colouring, creating vibrant shades perfect for stamping and decorating.
The children experimented with different vegetables like sweet potatoes and broccoli, discovering the unique textures and patterns each one could make. They then used their creations to decorate our cling film and foil-covered tables, turning our classroom into a gallery of edible art.
And we couldn’t resist one very important part of edible art—tasting the paint! Yum yum! 😋
Not only did this activity encourage creativity and exploration, but it also provided a sensory-rich experience. Berry Class had a blast experimenting with vegetables, shapes, colours, and prints—and yes, we made a big, beautiful mess!
These hands-on activities are a fantastic way for children to combine art, play, and learning, fostering curiosity and confidence while having fun. We can’t wait for the next messy masterpiece!
