Lovely wildlife walks....
Date: 7th May 2026 @ 2:02pm
This week, we enjoyed another of our weekly community walks, giving the children the opportunity to explore the world around them in a calm, meaningful, and hands-on way.
Our adventure took us through the forest, where the children used their senses to notice the different sights, sounds, and textures of nature. We listened carefully to birds singing, explored crunchy leaves and tree bark, and talked about the changing environment around us. Experiences like these are especially valuable for supporting communication, curiosity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
A highlight of the walk was finding a pond with ducks swimming peacefully in the water. The children were excited to stop and watch. These shared experiences help to encourage social interaction, language development, and an appreciation for wildlife and the natural environment.
Our weekly walks are an important part of our curriculum, helping children develop independence, life skills, and connections with the community through real-life experiences. We are so proud of how engaged, curious, and thoughtful the children were throughout the walk and are already looking forward to our next outdoor adventure.
