Rainbow Cube Sorting

Date: 12th Feb 2026 @ 12:17pm

Children used tongs to pick up colorful cubes and sort them into bowls by color. This hands-on activity strengthened their fine motor skills, including finger strength, pincer grip, and hand-eye coordination, and also supported gross motor skills as they reached, stretched, and transferred the cubes. Little hands grabbed, pinched, and scooped with focus and excitement, while their brains practiced counting, patterning, and colour recognition.

Our teaching assistant tried to trick us by putting the wrong-colored cube in the bowl—but we didn’t fall for her clever tricks! Giggles, concentration, and a rainbow of learning all came together in this fun and engaging activity! 🌈
