Residential Day 2 Update

After a fantastic first night, everyone woke up well-rested and settled, ready for another exciting day ahead. We started the morning with a hearty breakfast to fuel us for our first set of activities.

The morning was packed with adventure as pupils took on rock climbing, bouldering, the ladder climb, and the giant swing. We were so scared before the giant swing, worrying about the big drop, but we are proud of ourselves for having the courage to do it. One of the standout moments was a challenge where we tackled a blindfolded rock climb—an activity that really tested trust, communication, and teamwork. It was wonderful to see both pupils and staff embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and having so much fun together.

Following lunch, we headed out for orienteering. Using our map reading skills, we worked in teams to locate key points around the area. There was a great sense of teamwork and determination, and to add to the excitement, we held a friendly competition. Congratulations to the green team, who managed to find the most points and took the win!

Another highlight of the day was archery. For many of us, it was our first time trying this skill, and while it proved tricky at first, everyone showed real perseverance. With practice, confidence grew, and we were thrilled to see so many hitting the gold! We even had a budding expert among us who shared helpful tips with classmates and staff alike—definitely a natural talent in the group!

Overall, it’s been another brilliant day full of new experiences, teamwork, and lots of smiles. We’re all looking forward to what tomorrow brings!
