Beech 2021 - 2022
Mrs Connie Bradford
Welcome to Beech class
Staff: Erica (Monday) Connie (Tuesday to Friday) Georgina (Monday to Wednesday) & Cheryl (Thursday, Friday)
Beech class is made up of 3 boys and 3 girls aged 9-13.
We follow a holistic sensory curriculum where we focus on engagment, communication, physical development and most importantly making every day a happy one. All of our activities are designed to meet our individual needs and help us to stay happy and healthy. This includes lots of physical activities like swimming, rebound, stretches and massage as well as 1:1 and group sessions like sensory stories, messy play, music, resonance boards, wheelchair dancing and parachute. We are also very lucky to have input form physiotherapy and occupational therapy to make sure we have great posture support and are as comfortable as possible.
Beech class poem:
We are beech class, we work hard all day,
We're not all the same, we each have our own way.
But we all have each other, how lucky we are,
Each one of us is different, but each is a star!
Some love instruments and making a noise,
Some love to play with sensory toys,
Some like to swim, some like to dance,
Some like a tickle whenever there's chance,
Some love massage or to relax for a while,
But most importantly we all love to smile.
We look forward to having a year filled with fun and sharing lots of pictures of what we get up to on our blog.
