Welcome to Olive class 

Staff: Emma, Sam, Abbie and Claire.

Olive is a class of eight wonderful children between the ages of 6 and 10. We are an energetic class who love to be busy and have fun! We engage in a wide-range of learning experiences both in the classroom and out in the local community. 

Central to the semi-formal curriculum is the devleopment of our independence, communication and social skills. Sometimes we work as a group or with partners and at other times we engage in 1:1 sessions.

We enjoy sessions where we can explore our sensory needs, such as TacPac and Shabang. We also enjoy developing our physical skills through sessions such as swimming, PE, bikes, soft play and funky fingers. We regulalry learn outside the classroom to develop our independence and enhance our well-being. This includes trips to the local cafe, walks in Caldy Valley Nature Park and Forest School sessions. 

Some of our favourite activities inlcude visiting the local area, creating art, attention autism and cooking.
