Spring Term 2020
Beech class have been very busy settling back in this half term and having lots of fun with our new Wild, wild west topic.
We’ve been doing lots of exciting work with switches and learning new skills. We’re also doing lots of music, building on the children’s existing skills and encouraging their natural musical abilities.
As usual we’re working really hard on our physio every day and the staff are very proud of how well everyone is doing.
We are still having regular visits from our friends Eric and Norman. The children love exploring the sensory box, listening to the guinea pigs and stroking them. The pupils have really moved on in their ability to stroke them nice and gently completely independently. We also like to talk back to them when we hear their squeaks.
Finally, now the weather is getting warmer we’ve been getting out and about in the great outdoors. We’ve started doing forest schools with Peter at Duke’s Drive and we’re already had a wonderful day out to Hayrack Church Farm where we met so many friendly animals, we even got to hold some and feed some!
